Volkswagen AG and Suzuki Motor Corporation have signed a framework agreement to establish a close long-term strategic partnership. of Suzuki’s issued shares, in a deal worth about ¥200 billion (about US$2.3 Suzuki intends to invest up to one half of the amount received from Volkswagen into shares of Volkswagen.

Suzuki to showcase fuel cell and plug-in hybrid concepts

Suzuki is set to exhibit two new exciting green car concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, a Swift with Plug-in Hybrid system and an SX4 Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV). The type of petrol engine used for the Hybrid is similar to the 3-cylinder 658 cc fitted to the compact and low tax ‘Kei’ cars in Japan. .
