BYD makes about 80% of Motorolas RAZR handsets, as well as batteries for iPods and iPhones and low-cost computers, including the model distributed by Nicholas Negropontes One Laptop per Child nonprofit based in Cambridge, Mass. Europe, with its high gas prices, is the most promising export market for BYDs electric cars.
