The containership, part of a two-ship contract, was built for TOTE, a leading logistics and transportation company. The Marlin-class containerships will be the largest dry cargo ships of any kind in the world powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). General Dynamics NASSCO delivered the world’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered containership, the Isla Bella , to TOTE Maritime. This included collaboration during the design approval, construction and commissioning the ship to operate safely and effectively on natural gas.
