BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Maybe you should ask some engineers at the local power utility before you go shooting your mouth off, decrying how the idea will never fly. i think this is the best idea simply because of the ease of such a plan.
