This was granted to Amir Ban, Dov Moran, and Oron Ogdan in November 2000. Yen Meng Jiin/Singapore Press/AP Tan, the third of six brothers, was born and raised in a kampung (village) in the neighborhood of Geylang, Singapore. But he also set his engineers to work on a product that was essentially a music player without the player.
