For the standard version, Tesla plans to use a battery that can recharge at a typical 220V outlet in about four hours. Earlier this month, researchers from MIT said they had developed a process that within three years could lead to electric car batteries able to recharge in as little as five minutes. Please feel free to tell us what you believe to be the benefits of some of the various recharging modes mentioned above in the comments section below. Maybe you should ask some engineers at the local power utility before you go shooting your mouth off, decrying how the idea will never fly. It does not reflect well upon you.
