Stop/start technology: With bus accessories powered by the Accessory Power Systems (APS), the engine can be shut off at stops to prevent idling and emissions.

This initiative demonstrates and promote of the feasibility of alternative fuel sources, education and public outreach, and reduction of pollution/emissions. Total DOE award: $12,975,388.
