Study finds global rivers and streams emitting 3x IPCC estimates of the GHG N2O

Scientists report in an open access paper this week in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) that river and stream networks are the source of at least 10% of human-caused nitrous oxide emissions to the atmosphere.
