Several automakers, including Ford, have partnered with Edison to ensure those cars can get their electricity from somewhere.

Until then, we can always program the ESS to make what Lotus refers to as "more futuristic sounds for electric vehicles [that] can be created using sampled sounds and generated waveforms." Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? I have stated the same before. What about busy city streets?
