10:59AM (4/22/2009) I know it is a REALLY superficial criteria, but I love the paint scheme on the blue one pictured. Thats such a pretty metallic blue; I would love to see these postal vehicles around my neighborhood. Oh, and the whole electric thing is good too. Looks sharp.

Until then, we can always program the ESS to make what Lotus refers to as "more futuristic sounds for electric vehicles [that] can be created using sampled sounds and generated waveforms." Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? I have stated the same before. What about busy city streets?

Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse. Obviously, with replaceable battery packs, they can both be charged at the optimal time and always be hanging around to serve as valuable electrical power storage for the grid.
