It has now re-established it as an electrified sub-brand of GMC. But it’s the EV we’re most interested because it will likely use the 800V electrical architecture from the Kia EV6 and EV9. A sizeable 142kWh battery pack was claimed to cover about 320km between charges.

One’s a three-row midsize SUV under $60,000; the other’s a compact hatchback that starts in the mid-30s. We’re not holding our breath for that mythical $30,000 Chevrolet Equinox EV, but we figured retail versions of Chevy’s Silverado EV pickup truck and Blazer EV SUV would have reached the market by now. Now we’ve driven both.
