Lightning eMotors partners with Soderholm Bus & Mobility to sell electric commercial vehicles in Hawaii

Soderholm will be installing Lightning eMotors’ fully electric powertrain systems in repowered applications in Hawaii, as well as buying new Lightning eMotors’ vans and shuttle buses. Lightning is shipping the first vehicle to Soderholm next month, and demonstration vehicles will be available in Hawaii this summer for fleets to test drive.

EIA: California home to almost half of US plug-in electric vehicles

The District of Columbia has a tax credit of 50% of the incremental cost of an EV, up to $19,000. The District also exempts EVs from its excise tax, which varies from 6% to 8% depending on vehicle weight. The ratepayer must also install a separate meter dedicated to the PEV.

ICCT study finds state EV incentives playing a significant role in driving sales

California, Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington—have electric vehicle sales shares that are approximately 2–4 times the national average. if a state covers 50% of the cost of a home charger installation, the effective benefit is equal to half the cost of a typical home charger.
