While I was aware of this trend — I see it loud and clear in my own neighborhood — I hadn’t realized how wide-spread this trend actually was in the US. In my own neighborhood I see several EV drivers with long cables from Level 2 chargers in the garage, and extension cords presumably from a 120 Volt outlet. Volker, Calvin G.

We connect high-power communication lines into the DC charging system of the car. It’s in the pavement at a bus stop in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? Until then, we can always program the ESS to make what Lotus refers to as "more futuristic sounds for electric vehicles [that] can be created using sampled sounds and generated waveforms." We always seem to hear that one coming from a mile away.
