Its like having a second fuel tank that you always use first -- only you fill up at home, from a regular outlet, at an equivalent cost of under $1/gallon. Lifetime service costs are lower for a vehicle that is mainly electric. At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG).

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up. Follow us on Twitter!

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale. Good advertising for Chrysler if theyre willing to take a hit on the cost in order to put a giant EV sticker in multiple locations on each van.
