Toyota USA Announces Voluntary Recall on 2010 Model-Year Prius and 2010 Lexus HS 250h Vehicles to Update ABS Software

As part of what has become a global recall of the third-generation Prius, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA Inc, will conduct a voluntary safety recall on approximately 133,000 2010 Model Year Prius vehicles and 14,500 Lexus Division 2010 HS 250h vehicles to update software in the vehicle’s anti-lock brake system (ABS).

Cumulative global sales of all Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC)-produced hybrid vehicles—i.e., The HS 250h saloon was Lexus’s first hybrid-only model, launched in Japan and North America in 2009, since when sales have reached close to 56,000 units. Today, hybrids account for about 25% of all Lexus sales. RX 400h/450h.
