Going back to our formula we will first need to convert our kilowatt value to watts so we have 10,800 * 1000 = 10,800,000 watts needed from the source. Chrysler used this for their EPIC Minivan and could charge at a rate of about one mile per minute. Some industrial sites are even set up with 440V 3 phase service.

Therefore, until we get quick-charge batteries -- based on new breakthroughs, Ill take a WAG and estimate that we will have real 5-minute quick-charge batteries in perhaps 10 years -- we are likely to get our juice mostly from our home chargers.
