BMW will stage the world premiere of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan and the US premiere of the BMW Concept X2 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January in Detroit. This dispenses with the need for a torque converter, offsetting some of the weight penalty of the additional drive unit. BMW eDrive.
