Several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Virginia have also passed “ right to charge ” laws that allow renters at single or multifamily dwellings to install EV Level 1 and 2 chargers on their rental premises, but the tenants are responsible for all installation costs.
