It took me 17 days to reach the United Arab Emirates, and my route went through fascinating places like the Kurdish region of Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Two trains a day connect Paris with the Catalan capital. Ideally, I would have liked to continue to Madrid on the same day, but there’s no late connection.
