What we have not done so well is to ensure that we have a solid base level of generation to supply electricity when there is no sun and no wind. We have closed most of the coal plants and several the aging nuclear plants are moving offline as they close for repair of reach end of life. Most CO2 is a by-product of making fertilisers.
