The Climate Change Commission’s analysis shows that by 2030 67% of cars entering the New Zealand market are EV. The graph below from the IEA sets out the Charging points per EV and kW per electric Light Duty Vehicle (LDV) in selected countries, 2021.4 The scale of this transition cannot be underestimated.
