Shell officially opened its Joint Research Center for Cleaner Mobility with Tsinghua’s Department of Automotive Engineering (DAE). Shell collaborates with top-tier universities and research institutes globally. This world-scale facility is the largest source of GTL products and the only commercial source of GTL base oil today.

Shell selects site for proposed $12.5B GTL project in Louisiana

Shell’s Gulf Coast GTL facility would be one of the first of its kind built to commercial scale in the United States. Louisiana has cultivated GTL projects with Shell and other global energy companies in recent years. Shell built the first commercial GTL facility in Malaysia in 1993.
