Still totally cool to see automakers can agree about stuff (much better than computer makers, indeed), but I always find it weird when people say electrical cars are clean.

As more renewables come online, battery electrics just keep getting cleaner and greener. That means either 3x more coal burning for that electricity, or 3x more of our limited supply of clean renewable energy diverted to transportation, leaving less renewable energy to displace fossil fuel usage elsewhere.
