The UK Plug-in Car grant aims to stimulate the sales of electric cars by slicing a chunk of the price. Priced at £34,945, before the grant, the new model offers upto 282 miles of range (WLTP), the most of any sub £35,000 car. driveEV is the UK's only online magazine dedicated to electric cars. It seems this is already working.

Yesterday the UK Government announced immediate changes to the Plug-In car Grant, reducing the value to £2,500 and the number of models eligible. The plug-in car grant was introduced 10 years ago to stimulate the early market for zero-emission vehicles. MII electric offers up to 161 miles of range with is a nippy, enjoyable drive.

With revised pricing for all e-2008 models and enhanced deposit contributions for the e-208 range, Peugoet is latest manufacturer to respond to the recent overhaul of the UK Government’s Plug-in Car Grant. This move follows Citroen, Vauxhall and Kia who have adjusted their prices. The Peugeot e-2008 offers up 206 miles of range (WLTP).
