With districts able to obtain grant and other financial assistance, locations that we have deployed electric school buses in were the first in their state to have an EV bus in their fleet. Xcel Energy has launched a new pilot for customers of five major automakers to make it easier for consumers to make the switch to electric vehicles in Colorado and to charge their EVs at times when renewable energy production is high and demand on the energy grid is low. The pilot program will include up to 600 EV customers in Colorado.

Blue Bird electric buses are already operating in California, North Dakota and Washington. The buses produce zero emissions, improve air quality and require less maintenance, saving districts time and money. The amount of interest has been outstanding; people are very excited about a 100-percent electric-powered school bus.
