Chrysler unveiled the all-new 2017 Pacifica minivan in both conventional and plug-in hybrid versions at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The PHEV is the minivan segment’s first. Patented by FCA US, the device features two electric motors, which are both capable of driving the vehicle’s wheels.

Fiat 500 sales in the US, Canada, and Mexico exceeded 50,000 units in 2012. Sales of the all-new Dodge Dart were up 36% month-over-month in December, the compact car’s best monthly sales performance since Dodge dealers began selling the model in June. The Dodge brand’s sales volume in 2012 was the largest of any Chrysler Group brand.

ID4 RWD has one motor producing 201 horsepower (hp) and 229 pound-feet (lb.-ft.) ID4 AWD has two motors. The dual electric motor ID4 AWD put its additional power and grip to good use. Acceleration was peppy, in the mid-five-second range to 60 mph, which is about two seconds faster than the single motor rear-wheel drive ID4.
