The extra lead-acid battery pack can be recharged externally at night from the Prius owner’s household 110 VAC source in a home garage.

It is aggressively in talks with Portland General Electric Plug-In Charging Stations , ( POR ) and other states including Michigan, and California that are scrambling to offer incentives.
