Hyundai Motor Group affiliates to join Climate Group’s RE100, aim to expand renewable energy use

In 2019, Kia established a system to replace all power used in its production plant in Žilina, Slovakia with renewable energy. Hyundai Mobis made a full switch to renewable energy sources in its Slovakia and Sweden operations earlier this year. General Motors and the BMW Group are also RE100 members.

European Fast-E project launches; 278 fast-charging points in Germany and Belgium

A sister project between the Czech Republic and Slovakia will add another 30 charging stations. The 278 charging points set up every 80 km along Germany and Belgium’s main motorways, will allow drivers of electric vehicles to “refuel” and extend their car’s range.
