In April, Axion Power International Inc received an order from Norfolk Southern Corp (NS) for PbC lead-carbon batteries for use in an all-battery-powered switcher locomotive. The PbC batteries, with their enhanced capacity for charge acceptance can take on the charge and not have it want over a period of time.
