The combination of harvesting whole forests and burning long-sequestered carbon sources such as coal or oil has impaired the Earth’s carbon cycle at an increasing pace. In fact, use of these fuels is required by law in many states of the USA. Already the Chevrolet Volt is moving us in that direction.
