In the aftermath of the summer sales boom fueled by the US Cash for Clunkers program, September 2009 light duty vehicles sales dropped back to pre-incentive lows. Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) reported September sales of 126,015 vehicles, a decrease of 12.6% American Honda Motor Co., General Motors.

Buoyed by the US government’s CARS (“Cash for Clunkers”) program, US auto sales slowed their decline in the US in July, dropping on 12.1% General Motors. Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS) reported July sales of 174,872, down 11.4% American Honda Motor Co., The new Honda Insight hybrid posted 2,295 units.
