Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. This means the more maintenance-free electrical systems of PHEVs offset the initial higher cost of batteries. But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution.
