With an announced on sale date of spring 2023, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is slowly getting attention from full-size pickup owners. Clean Fleet Report wanted to give an update as we are one year out from seeing the Silverado EV in Chevrolet dealerships. This review highlights the status of the Silverado EV as of May 2022.

In the case of the 2500HD bi-fuel, the two main trade-offs are a reduction in power and torque in CNG mode compared to gasoline mode, and the loss of a portion of the bed of the truck to the 3,600 psi CNG tank and its box-like enclosure.

The electric-assisted steering had good road feel with responsiveness and little body roll in most cornering situations. Our Sierra AT4 also was equipped with the trailering package that included a trailer brake controller, jackknife alert and trailer electrical hook-ups. The all-electric range (AER) is 273 miles. This will be the perfect entry EV for people replacing their gasoline-powered SUV. With its range, fast charging capability and interior space, it will make them very pleased they’ll never to be visiting a gasoline station again. For shorter trips, seven can easily fit in the EV9.

The best fuel economy comes from the Blazer FWD with the 2.0L Those few more miles from each gallon of gasoline are important, and based on your driving needs, sacrificing some performance of the V6 engine could be worth it. The electric power steering was precise with good feedback, especially when tackling mountain sweepers.
