Top-Selling Lexus Hybrid Sedan Adds Sporty Styling. Lexus adds a sporty touch to its hybrid hero. The EPA rates fuel economy for the 2022 Lexus ES 300h at 43 mpg city/44 highway/44 combined mpg. The average fuel economy was 46.3 But on two separate occasions we got a true sense of the plug-in hybrid system’s efficiency.

If fuel economy is a pacing item, then getting 32 mpg with the smaller displacement probably is worth foregoing the performance benefits of the larger engine.
