Had we spent more time hitting stop lights in the city and in stop-and-go traffic, and if we plugged in every night, we would easily have topped 75 miles per gallon. The motor-driven power steering was a bit light, but still provided good road feel. Every little design element is important for the stellar fuel economy of the Niro PHEV.
