Since this is not a plug-in hybrid, the Sonata Hybrid doesn’t have a dedicated EV mode. But you are rewarded for a light touch on the accelerator pedal, as it runs in electric mode when cruising on the highway, and much of the time when driving in town. The strip appears to be chrome during the day, but at night, it lights up.

Hyundai can rightly claim the Sonata Hyundai Hybrid looks like no other sedan, highlighted by a distinctive LED headlight design, which is edged by a very unique and compelling daylight running light strip. The strip appears to be chrome during the day, but lights-up at night. More miles from up top. Clean, Refreshing Interior.
