One can be quite encouraged by the 30 odd alternative fuel cars of all shapes and sizes. ZENNs and Miles Motors and scaled down pickups and jeeps from companies I'd never heard of. But this is unlikely to have a large impact on the availability of full BEVs. A few bio-cars were there. No internecine altfuel warfare.

Tax credit incentives are also available to consumers in the U.S. The Chevy Volt actually sounds like the logical bridge until all day range or quick charging becomes available. Glad to see the variety & availability of electic commuter cars (vs hybrids & PHEV) is rising.
