Aptera – US-based company claims to have created the world’s most efficient vehicle with the three-seat F1-inspired Aptera. BMW iX – ground-up battery electric vehicle promises to take the luxury fight to Tesla. Chevrolet Silverado EV will have an EV range of up to 650km. Think iX3, but smaller.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. Hyundai Partnering with Korean battery companies for hybrids.
