The VW Amarok is based on Ford’s newest Ranger and is for sale in Europe, Asia, and Africa, but not North America. Volkswagen also teased the Tarok pickup concept in 2019, asking, “Is America ready for a smaller pickup again?” It’s a completely unique platform — ground up being engineered and developed.”
