In a test by Car and Driver magazine, the car exploded to 60 mph in 2.0 Automakers are finding it difficult to challenge those boldface numbers with internal combustion alone, especially as engines are relentlessly downsized to meet regulations. Some luxury brands, including Cadillac and Lotus, plan to do just that.
