Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) will begin series production of the next-generation Acura NSX hybrid supercar ( earlier post ) in late April, with customer deliveries to commence thereafter. Honda and Alotech won the 2015 AFS/Metal Casting Design & Purchasing Casting of the Year Award for the Acura NSX space frame nodes.

In purchasing, improvements to the efficiency of the company’s supply-chain logistics allowed Honda and its suppliers to avoid more than 4.3 million miles of truck travel in FY2013.

The CNG station is located at the interchange of Route 33 and Route 739 near Honda’s manufacturing and R&D operations and is part of a strategy that has seen Honda reduce the CO 2 emissions intensity of its parts shipments by more than 35 percent since 2009.
