Honda will begin selling two hybrid models produced in Japan—the Insight and CR-Z—in China before the end of 2012, said Honda Motor Co., President & CEO Takanobu Ito in his speech at the 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. Last year, Honda sales set a new record of 580,000 units in China.

Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) began production of the natural gas-powered 2009 Civic GX at its plant in Greensburg, Indiana. Give me internal-combustion and real exhaust noise and a trunk – hatchbacks have too much utility for me! It’s less boy-racer than the Honda Civic Type R and slightly more civilized than the Subaru WRX but not as commuter-friendly as the Volkswagen Jetta GLI or Acura Integra A-Spec. Too tall, too expensive, too electric.
