To maximize performance and efficiency there are five driver selectable drive modes of Conserve, Normal, Excite, Slippery and Snow/Sand. Normal mode is for around town, Conserve is for long stretches of open highway for maximum efficiency, and Slippery and Snow/Sand are self-explanatory. No complaints, but a learning curve.
