BMW to introduce BMW 530e iPerformance plug-in hybrid at Detroit show

The 2018 BMW 5 Series iPerformance will be available at US dealers in spring 2017. This dispenses with the need for a torque converter, offsetting some of the weight penalty of the additional drive unit. BMW Connected is also able to transfer the user’s personal mobility agenda from their smartphone straight to their car.
