Due in part to Honda’s ability to advance fuel economy through conventional engine technology, the Civic lineup will no longer include a hybrid or a natural gas model, according to John Mendel, Executive Vice President, Automobile Division American Honda Motor Co., Both of these products with the end of the 2015 model year.

A new study sponsored by Indiana University concludes that President Obama’s vision of one million plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) on US roads by 2015 will require concentrated efforts action from all stakeholders— the auto industry, federal government, the scientific community, and consumers—to be realized.

This engine provides better fuel economy and refinement than our current World Gas Engine. By 2015, Chrysler expects that the Tigershark family will replace the World Gas Engine. Chrysler is producing vehicles that utilize compressed natural gas, and said it is exploring use of other alternative fuel sources.
