Audi’s A5 coupe was launched in 2007 to take on the likes of the BMW 3-Series Coupe and Mercedes-Benz CLK. Audi aims to lower the fuel consumption of its model range by 20 per cent by 2012 compared to the 2007 level by implementing a number of new technologies. These technologies will complement an energy recovery system which is already standard on several Audi models. It is already included as standard equipment with the Audi A3 1.4
