According to a 2006 study cited by the Administration, implementation of pending plans for the federally designated HSR corridors could result in an annual reduction of 6 billion pounds of CO 2 (2.7 Chicago Hub Network( Chicago, Milwaukee, Twin Cities, St. Earlier post.) The plan identifies two types of projects for funding.
