The Pegasus pipeline is a 20-inch (51 cm), 858-mile (1,381-kilometer) link from the Patoka Oil Terminal Hub in Illinois to Nederland, Texas. According to a company spokesperson, the pipeline was carrying Canadian Wabasca Heavy crude at the time of the spill. wt% sulfur content (i.e., sour”), according to Crude Quality Inc.
