When BMW bought the Rover Group in 1994, the original Mini (which began production by the British Motor Corporation in 1959) was still being built. Way back in 2009, a 24 Hours of Lemons team tried to get a 2005 Cooper S through the BS Inspection unscathed, earning 1,066 penalty laps in the process.
