Wang entered the automobile business in 2003 by buying a Chinese state-owned car company that was all but defunct. Wang signed an agreement last year with Autobinck, a Dutch dealer group, to distribute its cars in the Netherlands and five Eastern European countries. He knew very little about making cars but proved to be a quick study.
